Russian Arctic Travel is a locally owned and operated company. Our specialities are exceptional adventures and small group expeditions in the Arctic region of the Yamal Peninsula and the mountains of the Polar Urals. We offer a variety of exciting tours and activities throughout the year and are also happy to create a custom itinerary if you have particular interests.
For the last 7 years, our particular focus has been on ethnographical tours to visit the Nenets – indigenous people of Siberia who still maintain the traditions of nomadic reindeer herding. We have many friends among the Nenets, and visiting them for a homestay is a truly unique adventure. We are very experienced in arranging photography tours where we combine a visit to the Nenets with wildlife encounters, travel through the breathtaking arctic landscapes and astrophotography when the weather permits.
Join us in summer for a variety of outdoor adventures including offroad driving, hiking, rafting and fishing. Come winter, our focus shifts to the beauty of the icy polar tundra and mountains, where we offer snowmobile expeditions, ski touring, ice fishing and snowshoeing.
